Waarom kiezen voor deze hoge resolutiecamera's
Hoe hoger de resolutie, des te gedetailleerder het beeld. Bij de oude analoge techniek bestaat een livebeeld uit niet meer dan 0,4 megapixels en een geregistreerd beeld gewoonlijk uit 0,1 megapixels (CIF). Een MOBOTIX-camera met 3,1 megapixels bevat daarentegen circa 30 keer zoveel details. Daarom zijn grotere beeldbereiken tot 360-graden panorama’s mogelijk, waardoor het aantal camera’s en daarmee de kosten worden gereduceerd. Zo kunnen vier rijen in een tankstation met één MOBOTIX-camera in de gaten worden gehouden, in plaats van met vier traditionele camera’s.
Ze werken volledig autonoom, hebben dus geen extra computer of software nodig. Via de POE-voeding kan men deze rechtstreeks op het netwerk aansluiten en via de gekozen browers bekijken via het intranet of het internet. Hierdoor bespaar je een flink stuk budget uit wat de meeste ander IP-camera's niet kunnen.
